Bumbo Time

No story... just Molly (4 months on Thursday!) sitting in her Bumbo this morning.

Nanny Fran

Today was Molly's first day alone with her new nanny, Fran. It was only a half day, but that didn't make it any easier on Courtney, who has been with our little girl almost non-stop over the past four months. We feel so fortunate to have found Fran... and most importantly, Molly seems to really feel comfortable around her.

Molly's first St. Patrick's day..,. and from what I witnessed in Midtown today, that's nothing to be proud of. Although, I guess it'll be a few years until she cuts class to go to see the parade and drink and vomit in the middle of the street... Erin go Bragh!

I've learned there's a popular traditional Irish song that our little half-Irish girl will probably get an earful of every March 17... "My Irish Molly-O."

Lastly, when thinking about this post... and Ireland... and babies... the below, of course, came to mind...

Morning nap, afternoon walk.

We were playing and talking (she coos and whispers after nursing most mornings) with Molly in our bed Thursday, when she drifted off... sleep being a precious commodity in our house, we decided to leave her there (and yes, worrywarts, we kept our eye on her).

This Saturday, we had a stroll in Prospect Park, taking advantage of the beautiful weather... and Molly and I had our first Baby Bjorn session. 

Cat Sitting

Our cat, Tabitha, has been great with the new addition to her household. She pretty much pays Molly no mind... although she has cuddled with her and given her a couple kisses... very sweet. But one change she has taken notice of is the sudden abundance of cat-sized seating.

3 Months

Molly turned 3 months old today! How did she spend it? Watching The Price is Right and going to Target... another of our Nation's unemployed.

Bath with Mom, Dress, Bumbo, Park, Dad's* Birthday

No theme or narrative this time... just some stuff that happened over the past week.

Sharing a bath with Mom* the other day... and loving it! Kicking, splashing, and laughing the whole time. Bodes well for fun times at the pool this Summer.

Dad's birthday! Wearing her first item of parent-praising clothing (who's really speaking in this t-shirt?)... and being bounced during dinner at Sripraphai (already her second time there).

*I'm a little uncomfortable referring to Courtney as Mom and myself as Dad in these posts... but it works for the writing... so long as we don't start calling each other that.
